Support Analyst - SQL (Sybase / Oracle)-Singapore
Responsibilities:
The role is to work on support, design and testing for the projects within Derivatives Trade Flow.
The main work is to undertake support a Sybase environment including applications written in VB / VBA and C++. Some C# knowledge would be desirable.
There is a strict application development methodology within the organisation and there are strict guidelines within which the candidate will be expected to work.
The team also provides global 2nd line support for the applications it owns and operates an application support rota in which the candidate will be expected to partake.
Tasks likely to include:
Use of SQL to perform data investigation and data clean-up
System setup and configuration for other IT groups.
System and performance test planning and execution
UAT test support
Performance tuning
Post-implementation support of any deliverables
Liaison on technical issues with others members of the team and department
Technical support for business processes like data migration from legacy to strategic platforms
Good verbal and written communication skills
Some development work may be required – SQL, Shell, VB / VBA and C++.
Be able to work in a pressurized environment.
Requirements:
2 years IT support
Understanding of multi-tiered architecture
Understanding of parameter-driven, configurable systems
Sybase SQL (2 years)
C++ (2 years)
VB / VBA (2 years)
