Logistics Coordinator-Singapore
Responsibilities:
Liaise and maintain good working relations with the Project Team, Freight Forwarder, Heavy Lift Contractor, Vendors and local Authorities to ensure planned and timely delivery of materials to the Project Site.
To assist with resolving issues with Freight Forwarder, Customs or local Authorities that could otherwise cause delays.
To monitor and control the importation / exportation of Project materials.
To coordinate deliveries between the Warehouse Manager, Material Controllers and Freight Forwarder/Heavy Lift Contractor.
To assist in maintaining Road Closure & Jetty Usage Schedules and Bridge Crossing usage.
In charge of producing and issuing various reports, logs, files and records covering logistics activities.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
At least 8 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Self motivated indvidual with a background in Logistics, must have at least 3+ years experience within the Freight Forwarding industry.
Must understand Customs procedures, Import/Export (Temporary & Permanent) procedures, Incoterms 2000, Chartering Terms & Conditions etc. Port operations, Road Transport permitting regulations, Health & Safety regulations etc.
To be computer literate espcially MS Office, Lotus Notes, Internet etc.
