JOB PURPOSE: Role holders at this level have previous experience in most of the functions within the family. The primary role is to secure work continuity and to coordinate with other sections to secure proper work progress. Follows up the shift operations through the work instructions given by the Production superintendent to fill in gaps and ensure the continuity of work and smoothness of operations and also for technical issues. Implements work procedures to ensure activities alignment with production targets Records the functional problems to provide control over the shift activities Reports operational abnormalities to the maintenance department and follows up to ensure proper response and work continuity Prepares shift reports to keep the production Superintendent well informed about work progress Abide by and observe Safety and Health regulations in all activities ensuring the preservation and safety of human life, machinery and company assets Supervises and supports the operators at all levels of the family ensuring adequate dissemination of operational expertise and technical knowledge Coordinates the work requirements with the other sections as needed to ensure work progress Provides and participates in technical training provided to operators including scheduled and formal training programs for the development of operators Make available designated and required shift operating personnel for smooth operation, in consultation with Production superintendent. Manage shift personnel for productivity. Supervise refractory services job during plant shut down for quantity and quality of brick lining. Ensure the house keeping and cleanliness of work area and machinery is maintained by respective operating personnel to have trouble free running of the plant and bring equipment to show room condition. Ensure that inspections are carried out during the stoppage of production units, with the help of operators for elimination of any abnormality and smooth operation of the production units. Coordinates with other business partners such as Crude oil tanker, Cement and Alkali dust truck operators for smooth flow of operations. Develop expertise through planning and following self development activities to become competent for other positions in the organisation either vertical or horizontal fashion. Carry out analysis of the jobs carried out with respect to time and methods being employed and critical analysis of problems faced in order to develop a technical manual which would be used as reference for improvements.
Profile KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE „X Chemical Engineering. Degree/Diploma/ Science degree „X Minimum 7/10 years experience for Non Saudis and 3/6 years for Saudis. Skills: „XGood working knowledge of the English language. „XKnowledge and understanding of operating manuals and production procedures within own production unit „XNumerate and able to work with numbers „XAbility to complete standard reports „XExtensive knowledge and understanding of operating manuals and production procedures within own production unit. „XAble to provide feed back on work performance. „XComputer literate. FRAMEWORK, BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY „XProvides guidance and advice to junior levels in the family and acts as a technical point of reference for the entire shift team Suggests improvements to the work and production processes „XIs authorised to stop the machinery in case observed that it would get damaged or cause damage to upstream/downstream machinery if allowed to run further.. „XIs authorised to protect the assets of the company against damage, theft, tampering. „XCarrying out appraisal of the personnel reporting to him.
